Jack Ross made one sole change as Hibernian ended their St Johnstone hoodoo with a 1-0 win at Easter Road, before their first Premiership defeat of the season at Ibrox as they lost 2-1 to Rangers before the international break. Jake Doyle-Hayes replaced Kyle Magennis, who is a potential injury doubt against United here, in the five man midfield. Hibernian are still without a few players due to long-term injuries such as Melker Hallberg and Christian Doidge. And, perhaps most notably, the Hibees will be without Ryan Porteous. The defender was sent off in Glasgow against the Gers and despite Hibs' greatest efforts, their appeal of the red card was unsuccessful. Tam Courts also made just one change after United claimed a superb point at Parkhead, by holding Celtic to a 1-1 draw, before succeeding that with a 1-0 victory over Ross County at Tannadice in their last Scottish Premiership match. It was a case of experience over youth as 35-year-old centre-back Charlie Mulgrew re-entered the fray to replace 16-year-old Kerr Smith in the United defence to partner Ryan Edwards once more. However, the Terrors could hand a debut to Maxime Biamou. The 30-year-old Frenchman has signed a deal initially until the end of the season after leaving English Championship side Coventry City.
