Portugal face Switzerland in the Round of 16 with both teams looking to progress to the Quarter-Finals. Portugal topped Group H while Switzerland came second to Brazil in Group G. Cristiano Ronaldo will be playing in his last World Cup and will want to go as far as possible in that. Bruno Fernandes scored twice against Uruguay as well as getting two assists against Ghana. He was rested against South Korea and should come back in to the Portugal side. Switzerland's manager Murat Yakin has kept a similar XI for the three group games with little rotation, and a win against Portugal will take them into the quarter finals for the first time since 1954, where they hosted the World Cup. They went out in the Round of 16 in both Russia 2018 and Brazil 2014, but did reach the quarter finals in EURO 2020, after dramatically knocking out France.
